The Global Enterprise Services Leadership Development Program (GESLDP)


General Summary

The Global Enterprise Services Leadership Development Program (GESLDP) is a rotational program consisting of three or four 6-9 month assignments. These assignments will incorporate the major components of the Global Enterprise Services organization including but not limited to our Customer Service, Professional Service, Strategy and Operations, Presales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing organizations. We are looking for individuals who can think strategically and solve problems. The ability to multi-task in a fast paced and rapidly changing technical environment as well as the talent to act as a change agent and thought leader will be key components to be successful in this program.

Our mission is to provide rising seniors in an undergraduate or masters of business administration program with an opportunity to explore GES and build on their skill sets needed to be successful in the program and at EMC. The program is designed to strengthen your technical, business, and management skills by working with experienced leaders within Global Enterprise Services, with EMC University’s advanced management curriculum and through on the job experience and mentoring.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Identifies areas of risk/opportunities and influences and implements continuous improvements. Composebusiness cases/ use cases and analysis of ROI.

• Defines and reports project/program roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics. Develops tools and analytics to support success of a project/program (s). Provides over-arching results, recommendations, and documentation.

• Oversees cross functional team(s) and is subject matter expert in the establishment, planning and implementation of multiple projects and/or programs. Interfaces with all levels of management. This role requires executive presence.

• Ensures initiative, project and /or program deliverables are met on time and within budget as required. Develops recommendations and implements solutions to project /program challenges. May facilitate EMC’s partner/customer alignment and maintain partner relationships.

• Provides work direction, training and development to other team members. Develops and cultivates relationships. Take leadership initiative for program direction.

• Prepares and presents information and analysis to senior level analysts and management.

• Opportunity to influence organizational change initiatives.
